Sloan Campbell is a Staff Writer for The Connection. They are 19 years old and are double-majoring in journalism and film, television, and electronic media. They joined The Connection because it is a major requirement for the journalism degree and was recommended to them by The Connection’s advisor, Rubina Gulati, after taking her JOUR 310 class, Mass Media and Society. After The Connection, they hope to have broadened their news writing and reporting skills, transfer to a four-year CSU in southern California, and hopefully get a job in the film or journalism industry. Outside of The Connection, they are passionate about film photography, cinema, video editing, and nature.
