Admission and Records and Business Services were previously located in P-48 and have recently moved into the newly constructed College Center on Thursday.

Both the Admissions and Records Office and the Business Services Office moved into the newly constructed College Center on Thursday, according to an email sent out by Cosumnes River College.

The offices were moved into the portable buildings in the spring 2018 semester, according to 24-year-old mathematics major Moua Khang. Khang, who has worked at the office for the last two years, said he was happy about the move.

“It feels like a breath of fresh air,” said Khang. “The new office will have a lot more space, as well as easier access to other student services.”

Twenty four-year-old psychology major Keona Tanon said that she thought the new building would be more convenient for students.

“There will be a lot more room for students,” said 18-year-old veterinarian technician major Rebecca Sutera. “The lines at the current building can get really long, especially at the start of the semester.

In addition to the Admin and Business offices, the Financial Aid Office, Student Access Center and other student services will also be moving into the new building once construction is complete, according to the email. The College Center will open officially on Mar. 11, according to information from Communications and Public Information Officer Kristie West.

The offices will remain open as they move into the new building. Students will have to access them through the cafeteria until the rest of the construction has been completed.
